Novae predominantly underwrites UK risks, either 100% or as lead underwriter. Most professions will be considered for both primary and excess layers.

The account includes:

• Accountants - small to medium-sized regional firms with a mixed portfolio of work
  
• Architects and other construction-related professions - small and medium-sized firms working in low rise residential and commercial development with low contract values relative to fee income
  
• Broadcasters - regional radio and television, music broadcasters and pre-recorded or scripted shows
  
• Charities and associations - UK-registered charitable trusts, professional associations and trade associations
  
• Computer consultants - software consultants and data processors
• Environmental specialists - laboratory testing, impact surveying and town planning
  
• Engineers - specialists in heating, ventilation, mechanical, electrical or refrigeration
• Insurance brokers - regional practices dealing with personal lines, medical, legal expenses and small commercial risks with minimal binding authorities
  
• Miscellaneous media businesses - advertising agencies and marketing consultants specialising in promotional work, design, brochure production, press advertising and public relations
  
• Publishing - regional magazines, trade journals, local newspapers and general fiction
  
• Solicitors - excess of loss cover for regional practices with up to 50 partners
  
• Surveyors - small and medium-sized regional estate agents and property managers, quantity surveyors, planning supervisors and auctioneers
